Every Ellyla bag begins in the hands of a skilled artisan.

Using traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations, each strip of leather is individually woven around a handcrafted wooden mould. This meticulous process takes time, patience and exceptional precision, creating the distinctive texture and character that define every piece.

Because every bag is made by hand, no two are ever exactly alike. These subtle variations are not imperfections—they are a reflection of genuine craftsmanship and the individuality of the artisan who created it.

We use chrome-free buffalo leather, carefully selected for its natural strength, softness and durability.

Vegetable-tanned using a more traditional process, the leather develops character over time, allowing each bag to age beautifully with wear. Combined with our handwoven techniques, every piece has its own texture, depth and individuality.
